Roll Call!
Dear All,
It is my sincere hope that this note finds you well in these strange times. After some recent confusion, I thought it would feel good to begin a fresh week with a quick message as to the capacity in which my practice is currently happening. I am so incredibly happy to be working these days — for my own wellbeing as well as your's. There have been a variety of evolving needs and my hope is many of them may be assisted through the following common points:
Is my appointment still booked?
Yes, I am open. Massage therapists have a detailed return-to-work plan which was required and approved by Public Health before reopening last June. Because of this, we may continue operating. Given my quiet work environment and in full trust of Dr. Strang’s guidance, I feel comfortable in maintaining care and service within space that is as safe as possible during this time.
I am not sure if I should come in — can I cancel?
Of course, there are concerns. If you have an appointment booked and you do not feel comfortable attending, there will not be any associated fee for canceling. It is helpful if plenty of notice is given for cancelations to allow options for another client to fill the space.
I need to come in — when are you available?
I have added some time throughout May to help meet the changing needs of clients who have had to rebook due to isolation or testing requirements. If you don’t see an opening on the schedule and you feel a pressing need to come in, please feel free to connect and I will do my best to accommodate.
There is no doubt, this wave is hitting differently than the initial impact. The word “languishing” was brought up in conversation this week and it has stuck with me as a perfect descriptor to sum up the feelings many people have been expressing. I certainly hope that you are thriving right now. But, if this is not the case, I would encourage you to stay connected to your body and the ways in which it is managing your stress. If massage happens to be helpful through this process, I am happy to hold space for you. I have been so impressed with the level of diligence, compassion and community responsibility displayed among those of you with whom I have been talking. Keep up the great work!
Be kind & take care of one another,
Alicia
