THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

Bodywork for presence.

Sessions are intentionally unhurried, allowing space to attend to the relationship between body, nervous system, emotion, and embodied awareness.

Treatment is thoughtful, grounded, and responsive to the individual.

APPROACH

Sessions begin with an intake conversation grounded in an understanding of your primary concerns, health history, nervous system patterns, and overall wellbeing.

Treatment is provided on a massage table using a slow, attentive approach that may incorporate deep tissue techniques depending on individual needs and preferences.

Space is held for quiet throughout the session, with opportunities for reflection and conversation. Care is collaborative, responsive, and tailored to the individual.

Because initial appointments involve a more in-depth intake process, a 90-minute first session is recommended when possible.

THE EXPERIENCE

Alicia Wright BSc, RMT | Therapeutic Massage in Halifax, NS

For over twenty years, I have practiced therapeutic massage with a focus on attentive, individualized care.

Over time, my work has evolved toward a slower, more relational and somatic approach that considers the connection between emotional experience, nervous system patterns, and tension within the body.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Mount Saint Vincent University and am currently completing a Master of Education in Counselling at Acadia University. My work is further informed by ongoing studies in embodiment, trauma, identity, and mindfulness, as well as training in craniosacral therapy through the Upledger Institute.

Based in Halifax’s North End, I strive to create a grounded, thoughtful, and affirming space for rest, reconnection, and deeper awareness of the body.
